Key Criteria:



  • Exposure to International Procurement Standards

  • Experience working in a multinational Oil & Gas or Construction Company 

  • Familiar with both local and international procurement best practices

  • An engineering degree or background


Qualification & Experience



  • 8 - 10 years of experience in procurement management in an oil and gas EPC company

  • Experience with contract management and negotiation

  • Professional certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM)

  • Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement modules

  • A good bachelor's degree/engineering background will be an added advantage

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective procurement strategies

  • Strong leadership and management skills

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Ability to analyse market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings

  • Strong problem-solving and risk management skills

  • Proficient in procurement software and technology


Role Expectation



  • The primary responsibility of this position will be to plan, lead and manage all procurement activities for the organization.

  • This position requires STRONG organizational abilities, time management skills, procurement, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.

  • Frequent interaction with vendors, suppliers and colleagues – a high degree of integrity, confidentiality and discretion is required.


Responsibilities



  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals and objectives

  • Lead and manage a team of procurement professionals

  • Source and acquire goods, services, and works that meet the company needs

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers

  • Negotiate and manage contracts

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

  • Analyse market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure procurement needs are met

  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and services

  • Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks
