Job Summary
The Security Guard is responsible for the overall security and safety of life, property, documents, and equipment within the building premises. This role requires maintaining a high level of alertness, detecting and preventing theft, controlling access, and responding to emergencies. The Security Guard will report any irregularities, apprehend suspicious individuals, and ensure the proper handover of duties.
Job Details
- Responsible for the general security of life and property, document, and equipment’s in the company premises.
- To maintain high level of alertness at all time
- To report any form of irregularities during tours of duty to security supervisor.
- To detect and prevent theft or attempt to steal from the company premises.
- To apprehend and handover to the security supervisor anyone within the company premises whose presence is suspicious.
- Ensure proper hand and taking over at the time of assumption of duty or when relieved.
- To ensure that vehicles parked at designated car parks are not vandalized.
- To control the movement of people, vehicles, and items in and out of the building.
- Respond to emergencies and incidents, providing assistance and support
- Enforce security policies and procedures.
- Any other assigned duty by Supervisor or Management.
Requirements
- Minimum of SSCE/NECO/G.C.E
- At least 2 years of related work experience
