Job Summary



  • We are seeking an experienced Legal Executive who will ensures that the company function in accordance with the law of the land and legal frameworks are adhered to.


Job Responsibilities



  • Creation, sign-off, and maintenance of data for all Telecommunication Agreements signed by the company with their clients.

  • Creation, sign-off, and maintenance of data for all Agreements signed by the company with their partners and vendors.

  • Advising and representing clients in courts, before government agencies, and in private legal matters.

  • Drafting a wide variety of legal agreements.

  • Providing advice on corporate legal issues and business matters.

  • Providing internal advisory services to business units and departments within the Company.

  • Offering commercial legal support to all departmental projects and job functions.

  • Providing accurate and timely advice to executives and employees on changes to the law affecting the company.

  • Ensuring the development of service level agreements for service support and delivery.

  • Monitoring the maintenance of registers and other records required to be maintained by the Company under the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA).

  • Assisting in the development of guidelines, policies, and procedures.

  • Analyzing and reviewing legal agreements, legislation, and documents for the Board.

  • Regularly ensuring (internal & external) compliance with laid down guidelines, policies, and procedures; investigating issues of non-compliance as required.

  • Performing any other duties as may be assigned.


Qualifications and Skills



  • A graduate Degree in Law.

  • NYSC Certified.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Legal Department in the Telecommunications Industry with a fair knowledge of laws & by-laws of NCC and other communication agencies.

  • Proven experience as a legal counsel in a business environment.

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law, intellectual property rights, copyrights, and patents according to Nigerian Law.

  • Full comprehension of the influences of the external environment on a corporation.

  • Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies.

  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity.

  • Sound judgment and ability to analyze situations and information.

  • Outstanding communication skills.

  • High level of Confidentiality.

  • Fair Knowledge of Telecom Technologies: Internet Bandwidth & Leased Circuits, Smart Solutions & Internet of Things (IoT), Internet Broadband.
