Job Description



We are currently seeking a HR officer at our facility in Awka, Anambra State, to efficiently in manage our employees and employee data, maintain confidentiality with documents, and other handle clerical duties.


Key Responsibilities



  • Create and prepare HR documents, including employee handbooks, policies, job descriptions, and contracts.

  • Manage and execute office and clerical duties, including filing, data entry, and handling correspondence.

  • Collect, maintain, and update employee data, including personal information and job roles.

  • Handle the recruitment process, including posting job vacancies, screening applications, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.

  • Oversee the onboarding process for new employees, including conducting initial training, and ensuring a smooth transition.

  • Manage general office tasks, such as ordering supplies, managing mail, and maintaining office equipment.

  • Process employee requests and inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.

  • Conduct footwork as required, such as delivering documents, running office errands, and coordinating with external vendors.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, and regulations.

  • Maintain confidentiality and security of employee information and HR records.

  • Prepare and submit reports on HR activities, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement.


Skills and Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • At least 1year proven experience as an HR Officer or in a similar role.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to execute tasks effectively.

  • Knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations.
