  • We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Optician to join our dynamic ophthalmology team.

  • The Optician will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, including vision testing, eyewear fitting, and patient education. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping patients achieve optimal vision and eye health.


Key Responsibilities



  • Conduct thorough eye examinations using advanced diagnostic equipment to assess patients' vision and detect any eye health issues.

  • Prescribe corrective lenses and fit eyeglasses and contact lenses based on patients' needs and preferences.

  • Provide expert advice on eyewear selection, including lenses, frames, and contact lenses.

  • Fit, adjust, and repair eyewear to ensure comfort and optimal vision correction.

  • Educate patients on proper eyewear care, contact lens usage, and eye health maintenance.

  • Collaborate with ophthalmologists, optometrists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.

  • Maintain accurate patient records, including examination results, prescriptions, and treatment plans.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in optometry and eyewear technology.

  • Participate in community outreach programs to promote eye health awareness.


Qualifications



  • Diploma or degree in Optometry or a related field from a recognized institution.

  • Current registration with the relevant professional body in Nigeria.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Optician or in a related role.

  • Proficient in using optometric equipment and diagnostic tools.

  • Strong knowledge of eyewear products, lens options, and contact lenses.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
