Objectives
- Monitor processes in laboratory and analyses of crude oil and petroleum products
- Supervise and participates in the monitoring of the quality of LPG samples in accordance to the specification of the products.
- Ensure that finished products meet quality standard before release into the market.
- Oversee and participate in the monitoring of quality of waste water effluents and chemicals/ materials
- Ensure laboratory equipment availability
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the activities of QA & QC.
- Ensure requisition for replacement of obsolete laboratory equipment and repair of faulty ones.
- Perform the certification of finished products for the market.
- Determine quality procedures, standards, and specifications
- Coordinate the periodic maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Ensure availability of reagents
- Ensure quality of chemicals/ materials
- Ensure WWT effluent meet specification before discharge
- Supervise the Standardization and calibration of equipment
Educational Qualification
- First degree in physical science or Engineering
- Membership of professional bodies e.g. CSN, NIM, NSE, COREN, etc.
Competence
- Product blending scheduling skill
- Plant Operations Troubleshooting skill
- Knowledge of Production Chemistry Solutions
- Knowledge of quality control
- Skilled in analyses and product certification
- Skilled in calibration of test equipment
- Skilled in preparation and standardization of reagents
Experience
- Minimum of 9 years relevant post qualification experience. Experience in the oil and gas industry will be an added advantage.
