A secondary healthcare facility sited in a rural community whose purpose is to provide quality healthcare to the underserved is looking to recruit a young, vibrant and mission-oriented pharmacist technician that is willing to work in a start-up environment.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working a rural area and have passion for service

Location: Ugbekpe – Ekperi (Etasko-Central) LGA, Edo State

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate filling of prescriptions by accepting written prescriptions or refill requests from patients and evaluating information for completeness and accuracy.


• Maintain pharmacy inventory by taking daily pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed medications and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipts and removing outdated drugs.


• Provide drug information and education to the patient by counseling and advising them on adherence to usage as prescribed to avoid resistance and explaining to patient on the possible side effect of each drug.


• Maintain a clean and safe pharmacy by arrangement of drugs into their respective segment in the store for easy identification and complying with necessary procedures, rules, and regulations.


• Delivering good patient experience by responding to inquiries, questions, or requests and getting ad hoc and structured feedbacks from customers


• Counting prescription medication, filling prescriptions, and typing and attaching medication labels.


• Contribute to the growth of the hospital by providing quality customer service to patients and other healthcare providers.

Requirements

• HND / B.Sc in a relevant Science Course


• Minimum of 1 year experience working in a Pharmacy


• A pharmacy technician certification (will be an advantage)


• Excellent communication skills.


• The ability to use a computer for day-to-day tasks.


• Basic math skills for counting medications.


• Great customer service experience.


• Ability to workin an intense and fast-paced work environment.

Salary

N50,000 to 60,000 monthly.
