The Ticketer is responsible for managing ticketing operations, including issuing, reissuing, and voiding tickets. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and proficiency with airline ticketing systems. The Ticketer ensures that all tickets are processed accurately and in a timely manner to meet client needs and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Ticket Issuance: Issue and reissue tickets using airline reservation systems (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo). Ensure all tickets are issued in accordance with fare rules and airline policies. Handle ticketing requests promptly and efficiently.
Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to clients by addressing their ticketing needs and queries. Resolve ticketing issues and discrepancies in a timely manner. Assist clients with itinerary changes and cancellations.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all ticketing transactions. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly ticketing reports as required. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Collaboration: Work closely with travel consultants and other team members to ensure seamless service delivery. Communicate effectively with airlines and other suppliers to resolve issues.
Other Duties: Stay updated with industry trends, airline policies, and ticketing regulations. Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge. Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
BSc., HND or OND.
additional certification in travel/ticketing is a plus
Proven experience as a ticketer or in a similar role within the travel industry.
Proficiency with airline reservation systems (e.g., Galileo and Amadeus).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
