Duties and responsibilities

• Operate a bus safely and efficiently to transport goods to various destinations


• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving


• Inspect the bus before and after each trip to ensure it is in good working condition


• Assist transit of goods with boarding and exiting the bus


• Ensure all bus documents are valid including Driver’s license.


• Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior


• Communicate with dispatch and other drivers as needed to coordinate routes and schedules


• Report any accidents, incidents, or mechanical problems to the appropriate authorities


• Attend training sessions and meetings as required

Requirements and qualifications

• SSCE, NCE, OND or equivalent


• 3 - 5 years work experience.


• Must possess a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with passenger endorsement


• Clean driving record with no accidents or violations


• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test


• Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations


• Good communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays


• Prior experience as a bus driver preferred


• Good physical health and ability to lift heavy objects


• Ability to remain calm and focused in stressful situations


• Good problem-solving skills


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
