Job Summary
- The Inventory Officer will work closely with the Manufacturing accountant to ensure accurate records are taken and maintained, track stock movement and ensuring efficiency in inventory management processes.
Primary Responsibilities
- Monitor the flow of items in and out of the store.
- Conduct a weekly stock count on all items in the store.
- Report any observed discrepancy to the Inventory Supervisor after stock count.
- Receive, inspect, and verify the quality of incoming goods.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory.
- Maintain accurateinventory recordsusing computerized and manual systems.
- Arrange goods systematically within the stock location system.
- Calibrate manual weighing scales and submit daily report.
- Liaise with production team to obtain proper record of work-in-progress goods and produced finished goods.
- Supervise the loading of Finished Goods and Bye-products.
- Work with the Inventory Supervisor to implement Warehouse management policies.
Requirements
- Qualification: OND
- Minimum of 1-2years as inventory officer or in a similar field
Knowledge / Understanding:
- Good understanding of inventory management process
- Knowledge of inventory costing
- Good use of Excel
