Job Summary



  • The Inventory Officer will work closely with the Manufacturing accountant to ensure accurate records are taken and maintained, track stock movement and ensuring efficiency in inventory management processes.


Primary Responsibilities



  • Monitor the flow of items in and out of the store.

  • Conduct a weekly stock count on all items in the store.

  • Report any observed discrepancy to the Inventory Supervisor after stock count.

  • Receive, inspect, and verify the quality of incoming goods.

  • Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory.

  • Maintain accurateinventory recordsusing computerized and manual systems.

  • Arrange goods systematically within the stock location system.

  • Calibrate manual weighing scales and submit daily report.

  • Liaise with production team to obtain proper record of work-in-progress goods and produced finished goods.

  • Supervise the loading of Finished Goods and Bye-products.

  • Work with the Inventory Supervisor to implement Warehouse management policies.


Requirements



  • Qualification: OND

  • Minimum of 1-2years as inventory officer or in a similar field


Knowledge / Understanding:



  • Good understanding of inventory management process

  • Knowledge of inventory costing

  • Good use of Excel


Skills and Abilities:



  • Good time management skills

  • Good team player

  • Ability to prioritize work effectively

  • Sense of ownership and accountability

  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to count repeatedly

  • Ability to lift heavy materials
