Responsibilities
Develop and implement effective sales strategies in line with Rensource’s strategic goals.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities via several channels to secure sizeable renewable energy and hybrid contracts with Commercial and Industrial clients
Conduct thorough market research to identify trends and opportunities whilst developing strategies that would provide an advantage for Rensource in the renewable energy/hybrid sector in Africa.
Develop market entry and expansion strategies tailored to different markets within Africa.
Provide strategic and commercial insights and recommendations to senior management on potential markets and business models.
Oversee the development and execution of renewable energy/hybrid projects from inception to financial close, ensuring they meet technical, commercial, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, ESG and legal, to ensure successful project delivery.
Oversee project progress, swiftly resolve issues, and ensure timely and budget-compliant completion.
Build a strong network of industry contacts to enhance the Rensource’s strategic positioning.
Prepare pricing models and drive the Investment committee discussions for potential project investments.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, suppliers, and partners to ensure commercially viable terms for Rensource Energy
Lead commercial discussions and agreements with potential clients and stakeholders’ relationship-building with stakeholders to leverage the network for business opportunities and partnerships.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
6+ years of industry-related business development experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong knowledge of successful marketing strategies
