KAPLEN INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY SCHOOL is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious School Bus Driver to transport students to and from school, ensuring their safety and comfort during transit. The successful candidate will operate a school bus, adhere to scheduled routes and timings, and maintain a positive and professional demeanor while interacting with students and parents. This role requires strict adherence to safety regulations, effective communication, and the ability to manage diverse student behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a school bus, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.


• Pick up and drop off students at designated stops according to established routes and schedules.


• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in good working condition.


• Maintain a clean and well-organized bus interior.


• Ensure student safety by supervising behavior on the bus and addressing any issues that arise.


• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding bus schedules, delays, and other relevant information.


• Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the transportation supervisor promptly.


• Attend required training sessions and meetings related to bus safety and operations.

Requirements

Education and Certification:

• SSCE


• Valid Driver’s License


• Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents in the past 3 years.

Experience:

• Previous experience driving a bus or similar vehicle (preferred).


• Experience working with children or in a customer service role (preferred).

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of traffic laws and school bus safety regulations.


• Excellent driving skills with the ability to handle various road conditions.


• Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.


• Good communication and interpersonal skills.


• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.


• Capability to manage student behavior effectively and professionally.
