Job Description



Responsibilities



  • Develop costing for input into bid and proposal writing

  • Work as bid-proposal officer

  • Provides analysis in the development and support of contracts, projects and bids

  • Determines how decision support systems will provide the information required to make effective business decisions; translates requirements into applications that employ appropriate decision support and reporting tools.

  • Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, documents, and records of the organization.

  • Ensure attainment of margins on all jobs and revenue assurance

  • Analyze any changes in goods or services provided in order to determine what effect it has on the cost.

  • Make estimates of costs of prospective jobs and pricing and develop into proposal

  • Provide management with reports that specify and compare factors that affect the prices and profitability of products or services.

  • Researching, writing, and organizing information in a professional and credible manner.

  • Identify opportunities for bid submissions,

  • Conduct research, write and edit proposals in a timeous manner,

  • Negotiate with stakeholders, and ensure we win the bids.


Requirements



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Engineering, Construction, or another relevant discipline.

  • 5+ years relevant work experience.

  • Must be proficient in EXCEL

  • Experience as a bid writer is advantageous.

  • Excellent industry knowledge and a willingness to keep up with trends.

  • Superb written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Deadline-driven and committed to excellence.

  • Sound understanding of the facility management industry and the built-up environment will be advantage.
