Job Summary:

• We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Sociology Lecturer to join our academic team.


• The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background, proven teaching experience, and a passion for teaching sociology and related social sciences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective lectures in Sociology to students.


• Develop and implement course materials, lesson plans, and assessments.


• Provide academic support and mentorship to students.


• Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Minimum of a first degree (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in Sociology or a related discipline.


• Possession of a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PDA) or Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) is required.


• Proven teaching experience in a tertiary education setting is preferred.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to engage and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
