Job Summary:



  • We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the dual role of Computer Science Lecturer and ICT Officer.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in computer science, proven teaching experience, and the ability to manage and support ICT infrastructure effectively.

  • This role combines academic responsibilities with the management of ICT resources and support.


Key Responsibilities:


As Computer Science Lecturer:



  • Deliver engaging and effective lectures in Computer Science to students.

  • Develop and implement course materials, lesson plans, and assessments.

  • Provide academic support and mentorship to students.

  • Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

  • Engage in continuous professional development and improvement.


As ICT Officer:



  • Oversee the management and maintenance of ICT infrastructure, including hardware and software.

  • Provide technical support and training to staff and students on ICT-related issues.

  • Ensure the security and integrity of the institution’s ICT systems and data.

  • Assist in the planning and implementation of new ICT projects and systems.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and best practices in ICT.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure ICT needs are met effectively.


Requirements:



  • Minimum of a first degree (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

  • Possession of a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PDA) or Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) is required.

  • Proven teaching experience in a tertiary education setting is preferred.

  • Strong technical skills and experience in managing ICT infrastructure.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to engage and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
