Job Summary:
- We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the dual role of Computer Science Lecturer and ICT Officer.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in computer science, proven teaching experience, and the ability to manage and support ICT infrastructure effectively.
- This role combines academic responsibilities with the management of ICT resources and support.
Key Responsibilities:
As Computer Science Lecturer:
- Deliver engaging and effective lectures in Computer Science to students.
- Develop and implement course materials, lesson plans, and assessments.
- Provide academic support and mentorship to students.
- Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Engage in continuous professional development and improvement.
As ICT Officer:
- Oversee the management and maintenance of ICT infrastructure, including hardware and software.
- Provide technical support and training to staff and students on ICT-related issues.
- Ensure the security and integrity of the institution’s ICT systems and data.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of new ICT projects and systems.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and best practices in ICT.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure ICT needs are met effectively.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a first degree (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Possession of a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PDA) or Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) is required.
- Proven teaching experience in a tertiary education setting is preferred.
- Strong technical skills and experience in managing ICT infrastructure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
