Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Tyre Retreading Officer to join our team at Dangote Cement Transport. As a Tyre Retreading Officer, you will be responsible for retreading and repairing tyres to ensure the optimal performance and longevity of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and assess the condition of tyres to determine the best retreading process.


• Perform retreading and repair operations on tyres using specialized equipment and tools.


• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures during all retreading processes.


• Monitor the quality of retreaded tyres to meet the company's standards.


• Maintain accurate records of retreading and repair work performed.


• Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify tyre-related issues and provide effective solutions.


• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in tyre retreading technology.

Requirements

• HND, OND or Trade certification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.


• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Tyre Retreading Officer or in a similar role.


• Strong knowledge of tyre retreading techniques and processes.


• Experience in using tyre retreading equipment and tools.


• Good understanding of tyre types, sizes, and tread patterns.


• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and specifications.


• Excellent attention to detail and precision.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.


• Good communication and teamwork skills.
