Location: Mainland, Lagos


Salary: N120,000 – N170,000


Reports to: Operations Lead and CCO (Chief Creative Officer).


Our Client is a first-of-its-kind simple and affordable custom photo/art framing company in Nigeria, bringing the tradition of framing to today’s customers from the comfort of their homes and devices.


In this role, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the financial health of our business. You'll be responsible for a range of accounting tasks, working closely with various departments to maintain accurate financial records and contribute to the company's success. You will be responsible for the accuracy and integrity.


Responsibilities:



  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and examine financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting standards such as GAAP and IFRS.

  • General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, analyzing variances, and providing insights for decision-making.

  • Reconciliations: Reconcile expenses, bank balance, revenue, and inventory receipts.

  • Audit and Assurance: Coordinate and support external audits, ensuring timely and accurate submission of required documentation.

  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payment of invoices and collection of receivables.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on financial regulations and ensure the company’s compliance with financial laws and guidelines.

  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and operations.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support business objectives.

  • Any other duties as may be assigned by the Operations Lead.

  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency.


Person Specification



  • BSc in Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounts payable/receivable or bookkeeping role

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (debits, credits, double-entry bookkeeping).

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Strong work ethic and commitment to quality

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Excellent organizational skills and time management

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Sheets.

  • Knowledge of Accounting Software is an added advantage
