Summary:


The U.S. Consulate General in Lagos, Nigeria is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the Travel Clerk position in the General Service Office. The U.S. Mission in Nigeria supports Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA). All genders are welcome to apply.


Duties


Under the supervision of the Travel Supervisor, Incumbent assist with visa arrangements as necessary for mission personnel. Performs general expediter arrangement for expediter team, which includes updating Lagos Travel Manifest. Prepares visa applications for Mission personnel, collect passport and visa fee. Prepares correspondence to Foreign Mission. 


Education Requirements:



  • Two (2) years of University Studies is required.  


Experience: Minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in office management or secretary, or travel agent is required. Travel agency administrative experience is an added advantage. 


Skills And Abilities: 



  • Good computer skills and familiarity with windows, IATA air fares and ticketing, Customer Service, Office Management, MS word processing and spreadsheet programs is required. Must have strong drafting skills to draft correspondence to foreign embassies, airlines, and hotels.

  • Must be able to always interact professionally with all levels (American personnel, airport authorities, hotels, visa application requirements, photographic skills.
