Job Overview



  • Our client is seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Technical Sales Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sales, market analysis, and business development efforts to facilitate revenue and business growth.

  • This role requires a strong understanding of the renewable solar energy sector, commercial awareness and excellent networking skills to prospect, engage, and secure partnerships with high-profile individuals and businesses seeking solar energy solutions.


Duties and Responsibilities

Client Prospecting & Relationship Management:



  • Identify and engage potential clients, build strong relationships, and understand their technical and business requirements.

  • Actively seek out high-profile clients and generate leads through various channels

  • Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline, generate revenue, and drive business growth

  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, installers, contractors, and other stakeholders within the solar energy industry.


Sales and Business Development:



  • Provide tailored solutions by recommending the appropriate high-capacity solar inverter systems that best suit their needs and align with their budget.

  • Lead negotiations and close deals with high-profile clients.

  • Deliver persuasive sales presentations, webinars, and product demonstrations to showcase the benefits and functionalities of high-capacity solar inverters effectively.

  • Cultivate a network of industry contacts to expand business opportunities.

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve company sales targets and expand our client base in the solar industry.


Technical Project Management:



  • Collaborate with the technical team to provide technical guidance and support to high-profile clients as regards their solar energy systems

  • Collaborate with the technical team to conduct product training sessions and workshops for clients and internal sales teams to enhance product knowledge and technical skills.

  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of projects, managing client expectations and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Conduct market research analyses on product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, competitors, and customer feedback.


Job Requirements



  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business, Sales, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in technical sales, business development, and sales preferably in the solar or energy sector.

  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand and explain complex concepts and solutions.

  • Proven track record of securing and managing client accounts.

  • Excellent communication, networking, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

  • Strong work ethic and business acumen

  • Strong emotional intelligence skills.
