Responsibilities
Field Data Collection:
- Travel to designated cocoa farming areas to count cocoa pods on trees.
- Record observations accurately and consistently.
Data Entry and Reporting:
- Input collected data into Excel spreadsheets daily.
- Ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Interact with local farmers to gather relevant information and insights.
Driving and Travel:
- Drive to various field locations, requiring extensive travel and time away from home.
- Ensure all travel is conducted safely and efficiently.
Work Schedule:
- Engage in fieldwork for two weeks, including weekends.
- Rest and recuperate for one week before commencing the next cycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture or related field.
- Previous experience in field data collection, agriculture, or sustainability is desirable.
- Strong driving skills and a valid driver’s license.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data entry.
- Ability to work long hours and adapt to a repetitive work schedule.
- Excellent observational and attention-to-detail skills.
- Good interpersonal skills for interacting with farmers and other stakeholders.
