Job Description
Key Responsibilities of Storekeeper:
- Ensures delivered products are checked against purchase specifications
- Judges the quality, quantity, and sanitary conditions of products
- Inspects and verifies the supplier’s invoice for accuracy in quality descriptions, quantities, and prices
- Monitors the moving of products to storage and issues stock to departments
- Maintains professional working relationships with suppliers
- Raises purchase orders, updates cost reports and maintains cellar ledger
- Ensures sufficient stocks are held in hotel stores and orders are placed to maintain stock levels
- Assists stock takes and liaises with external stock takers
- Sources products and services at the best price for the hotel as required
Requirements of Storekeeper:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Familiarity with Inventory Management Software and Systems.
- Excellent attention to details and record-keeping
- Excellent organizational skills and Time management skills
- Physical Stamina and ability to lift and move items
