Responsibilities



  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the nursing department.

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient nursing operations.

  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of nursing staff.

  • Ensure that patient care services are delivered in accordance with established standards and best practices.

  • Monitor patient care quality and implement improvements as needed.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care and outcomes.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards.

  • Oversee the preparation for and response to regulatory audits and inspections.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in healthcare laws and regulations.

  • Develop and manage the nursing department's budget.

  • Monitor and control expenses to ensure cost-effective operations.

  • Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising patient care quality.

  • Lead initiatives to improve patient safety and quality of care.

  • Analyze data related to patient outcomes and implement changes to enhance care delivery.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the nursing staff.

  • Work closely with other executive leaders to align nursing goals with organizational objectives.

  • Serve as a liaison between nursing staff and other departments.

  • Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and families

  • Promote ongoing professional development and education for nursing staff.

  • Encourage participation in continuing education and professional organizations.

  • Mentor and support nursing leaders and emerging talent within the organization.

  • Participate in the development and implementation of the organization's strategic plan.

  • Identify trends and opportunities in nursing and healthcare to drive strategic initiatives.

  • Advocate for resources and support necessary to achieve nursing department goals.


Requirements



  • RN/RM qualification

  • Minimum of 8 years of nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership/administrative capacity.

  • Strong knowledge of nursing regulations and standards

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
