We are seeking an experienced field surveyor who will play a crucial role in calculating land boundaries in various locations and generating accurate maps and reports of surveyed results.
This position requires experienced handling of engineering instruments and proficiency in GPS and GIS systems to produce exact measurements and determine property boundaries, provide data relevant to shape, contour, gravitation, location, elevation, or dimension of a land.
Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys in order to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed.
Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of terrain.
Plan and conduct ground surveys designed to establish baselines, elevations, and other geodetic measurements.
Record the results of surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land or land features.
Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
Coordinate findings with the work of engineering and clients concerned with projects.
Determine longitudes and latitudes of important features and boundaries in survey areas.
Research and design methods for survey processes.
Collaborate with engineers and architects on several projects
Requirements
Previous experience in boundary, topographic and construction surveys, design surveys, subdivision plats, water rights surveys, horizontal and vertical control networks for aerials and GPS surveys.
Must be proficient in the use of computer and CAD, Trimble Software, GPS Total Station, Robotics, AutoCAD and Land Development Desktop.
Must have strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects, be self-directed with good verbal and written communication skills.
