What you’ll Do  


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned:



  • Developing and implementing community engagement strategies to ensure effective communication and collaboration between community members and organizations

  • Facilitating meetings, workshops, and focus groups to gather input from community members and stakeholders.

  • Building relationships with community leaders, organizations, and influencers to promote participation and support for the project.

  • Providing training and capacity-building support to community members to enhance their involvement and decision-making skills.

  • Assist in conducting outreach activities to raise awareness about programs, services, or issues relevant to the community.

  • Collecting and analyzing data on community needs, preferences, and concerns to inform decision-making and program planning.

  • Advocating for the interests and priorities of the community and traditional institutions.

  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of community engagement efforts and adjusting strategies as needed.

  • Serving as a liaison between the community and project team to facilitate communication and address concerns.

  • Promoting inclusivity and diversity within community engagement activities to ensure all voices are heard and represented

  • Participates in corporate strategic planning activities and applies project management theory to the organization's business challenges

  • Consistently at work, on time & adhering to Policies and Procedures

  • Performs any other duties assigned by management.


Who you Are


The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to successfully perform this job:



  • A Degree from college or university in Project Management or related field. Master’s degree is preferred.

  • Minimum of ten (10) years working experience in Project and Program Management, including a minimum of Five (5) years of different donor's management experience, preferably in an NGO or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Strong leadership skills that include the ability to work effectively with project teams and external stakeholders, including national, state, and LGA representatives.

  • Must have the ability to manage conflicts and resolve problems effectively.

  • Exemplary skills with leading and managing multidisciplinary teams, as well as mentoring other team members.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, organizational skills and great attention to detail. Must be able to work as a leader and member of a team, and possess good problem-solving skills.

  • Must possess the ability to organize, instruct, and supervise staff while promoting group effort and achievement.

  • Must have the ability to manage conflicts and resolve problems effectively.

  • Training and presentation experience is preferred.

  • Advanced computer skills, including Google Drive, Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
