Job Description



  • We are looking for a Project Engineer who will be responsible for all technical and engineering aspects of the assigned project.

  • To be incharge of planning and coordinating technical engineering initiatives to make sure project is completed timely and within budget.


Responsibilities



  • To be in charge of the day to day running of the site in liaison with the Head of Engineering.

  • Determine project responsibilities by identifying project phase and elements, assigning personnel to phases and elements, reviewing bids from contractors.

  • Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.

  • Scheduling Projects by studying project design, customer requirements, and performance standards, completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.

  • Oversees all materials at the site, including documentation of materials coming to site and usage, quality and quantity of materials being received by the site is in the best of standards.

  • Prepare and sends daily site report (work progress, materials, personnel and equipment)

  • Involved in Evaluation and Valuation of completed work for the purpose of raising payment Certificates.

  • As may be directed, can represent the company in Project Meetings concerning the site of your posting.

  • Maintain company reputation by complying with Federal and State regulations.

  • Any other duties as may be assigned.


Requirements



  • Must be a certified member of Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN)

  • Proven working experience as a Project Engineer

  • Excellent knowledge of design and visualisations software such as AutoCAD

  • Advanced MS Office skills

  • Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards

  • Ability to work with multiple discipline projects

  • Project management and supervision skills

  • Decision making ability and leadership skills

  • Time management and organization skills.
