Job Summary: 



  • The National Sales and Business Development Lead will be responsible for developing and executing national sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth across Nigeria.

  • This includes leading the national sales team, building and managing relationships with key stakeholders, and identifying new business opportunities.

  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in sales and business development within the financial services sector, with a strong understanding of credit and loan products.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and implement national sales strategies to achieve business objectives and revenue targets.

  • Lead, manage, and motivate the national sales team to achieve sales targets and performance goals.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and markets for salary-backed loans on a national scale.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory bodies.

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute national sales campaigns and promotional activities.

  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and strategic plans to senior management and the board of directors.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.

  • Provide training and support to the sales team to enhance their skills and performance.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes to proactively manage opportunities and risks.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications is a plus.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and business development within the financial services industry, preferably in credit and loan businesses.

  • Proven track record of achieving national sales targets and driving business growth.

  • Strong knowledge of sales principles, practices, and techniques.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with CRM software and sales analytics tools.

  • In-depth understanding of the financial services industry and regulatory environment in Nigeria.
