Position Overview



  • As an Accountant at Goonite (NG) Hygiene Product FZE you will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting the financial health of our organization.

  • You will work closely with the finance team to streamline accounting processes and contribute to strategic financial planning.


Responsibilities



  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for all transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.

  • Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes by providing financial data and insights.

  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.

  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and variances.

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and payroll.

  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial discrepancies and improve financial procedures.

  • Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in accounting regulations.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience within the FMCG industry, preferably within the Manufacturing sector.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Effective communication and organizational skills.


Additional Requirements:



  • Candidates must be residents of Ibeju-Lekki or its immediate surroundings.
