- The role involves tasks such as stock control, stock management, and inventory control to ensure efficient inventory levels.
- The Inventory Controller will also utilize analytical skills and communication abilities to optimize inventory processes.
Job Description
Inbound Processes:
- Ensuring items are correctly received and inspect inbounding of pharmaceutical products.
- Verify the accuracy of inbound contents against purchase orders and accompanying documentation.
- Record and organize received goods in the ERP.
- Ensure proper storage conditions and placement of products within the warehouse.
Outbound Processes:
- Ensuring that Customer’s orders are pick, pack, and prepare pharmaceutical products for outbound according to customer orders.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of outbound shipments.
- Verify that outbound shipments meet regulatory and company standards.
- Coordinate with Logistics carriers for timely dispatch and delivery.
Inventory Management:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and full inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Update inventory records to reflect real time stock levels and movements.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Returns and Damaged Drugs:
- Ensures that process returns of pharmaceutical products from customers, ensuring proper documentation and condition assessment are in line with Remedial Health’s return policy.
- Ensure that damaged or expired drugs are properly isolated and documented according to regulatory requirements and Remedial Policy.
- Ensure that the disposal or return of damaged products as per company policies and regulations.
- Maintain records of all returns and damaged goods for audit purposes.
Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements, including NAFDAC regulations, for the storage and handling of pharmaceutical products.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inventory management and warehouse operations.
- Participate in safety training and ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all inventory transactions, including inbound, outbound, returns, and damaged goods.
- Prepare and analyze inventory reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
- Assist in preparing documentation for audits and regulatory inspections.
- Escalate and report any issues that does not align with policy to Inventory Controller for onwards transits to the Senior Internal Auditor.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with the procurement, inbound, outbound and logistics departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to resolve inventory issues.
- Assist in training new inventory control associates as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience as an Inventory Controller, Inventory Management or related field
- Experience working in an FMCG, Pharmaceutical or Supply Chain sector
- Experience using an ERP
