Job Summary


The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the security operations within the company premises and or assets. The role involves supervising security personnel, ensuring the safety of the premises, monitoring security systems, and implementing security policies and procedures to prevent unauthorized access, theft, and other security breaches.


Job Details



  • Monitor surveillance equipment, alarms, and other security systems.

  • Patrol the premises regularly to maintain a visible security presence.

  • Respond promptly to alarms, security breaches, and emergencies.

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of security staff.

  • Assign tasks and duties to security personnel according to the operational needs.

  • Conduct regular briefings with security staff to discuss updates and issues.

  • Oversee the management of access control systems, including the issuing of ID cards and visitor passes.

  • Ensure all entry and exit points are secured and that unauthorized individuals are denied access.

  • Investigate security incidents, write detailed reports, and liaise with law enforcement when necessary.

  • Ensure proper documentation of all security incidents and maintain records.

  • Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of incidents.

  • Provide training to security personnel on emergency response procedures, use of security equipment, and other relevant skills.

  • Ensure that all security staff are knowledgeable about the security protocols and procedures.

  • Enforce company security policies and procedures consistently.

  • Recommend improvements to existing security protocols to enhance safety and security.

  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to security operations.

  • Coordinate and lead security personnel during emergency situations, such as evacuations or lockdowns.

  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration with emergency services.

  • Prepare and submit regular reports on security operations, incidents, and personnel performance.


Requirements



  • A bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in security operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.

  • Previous experience in law enforcement, military, or private security 

  • Physical fitness and ability to perform security duties, including standing, walking, patrolling, and responding to emergencies

  • Understanding of security management responsibilities, including statutory obligations, requirements, and dynamics.

  • People management skills

  • Proficient in using security systems and technology.

  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
