Responsibilities


Laboratory Services:



  • Perform routine IVF procedures, including egg retrieval, insemination, and embryo culture.

  • Conduct embryo transfers, cryopreservation, and thawing procedures according to standard protocols.

  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of laboratory procedures through meticulous attention to detail.


Quality Assurance and Compliance:



  • Adhere to strict laboratory standards and protocols to maintain the highest level of quality control.

  • Regularly monitor and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.

  • Comply with all regulatory requirements, including record-keeping and documentation.


Client Interaction and Support:



  • Provide detailed explanations of embryology procedures to patients, ensuring they understand each step of their treatment.

  • Offer emotional support and guidance to patients during their fertility journey.

  • Maintain the confidentiality and privacy of all patient information.


Research and Development:



  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in embryology and IVF techniques.

  • Contribute to ongoing research projects and clinical trials within the fertility clinic.

  • Innovate and implement new methods to improve success rates and patient outcomes.


Collaboration and Teamwork:



  • Work closely with fertility doctors, nurses, and other medical staff to ensure seamless patient care.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment plans.

  • Train and mentor junior embryologists and laboratory technicians.


Administration:



  • Accurately document all laboratory procedures and patient records in compliance with SOPs.

  • Oversee the inventory of laboratory supplies and prepare orders as necessary.

  • Prepare and present reports on laboratory performance and patient outcomes.


Qualifications and Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field. Advanced certification in Embryology is an advantage.

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in an IVF laboratory.

  • Proficiency in embryology techniques, including micromanipulation and cryopreservation.

  • Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex procedures to patients.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a team-oriented environment.
