The main purpose of this job position is to manage enterprise IT infrastructures to guarantee effective and efficient functioning of clients’ business operations.

As a senior Backup Administrator, you are given tasks within implementing, monitoring, and maintaining Dell NetWorker Backup solutions, providing backup services for all the company's applications.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

• Expert knowledge in Commvault backup solution


• Configuration, monitoring, administration, and maintenance of the backup environment including Backup servers, backup storage, VTL, network configuration and clients


• Configuration of backup solution on requested servers


• Performing standard and test restores of requested files, folders, databases, and virtual machines


• Performing disaster recovery tests


• Having at least basic knowledge of Windows and Unix OS administration


• Having at least basic knowledge of Bash, Shell and/or PowerShell scripting


• Reporting department KPIs to top management


• Representing the Backup & Restore team in cross-department projects


• Create and update documentation; actively build team knowledge base


• Troubleshooting backup issues related to VMs and flat files


• Troubleshooting backup issues related to IBM DB2, Oracle and Microsoft SQL databases


• Perform in line with agreed procedures, SLAs, and customers' expectations

• Setting Up and Checking the Status of Backups


• Keeping Tabs on Backup Logs and Fixing Problems as They Arise


• Maintaining a Routine Schedule of Backup Audits

Education and skills:

• University degree in IT or business studies or any related studies


• Organizational skills: prioritize, plan, assign and control


• Customer focus: monitors customer expectations continuously

Minimal work experience:

• Minimum 12+ years of experience in a similar position (Backup Administrator)


• High knowledge of Backup, Storage, and server areas


• Operational mindset and cooperation skills
