  • We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Operations to oversee the day-to-day management of our platform.

  • This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our online store and gaming activities, managing programs, and providing financial oversight.

  • The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a keen understanding of both operational and financial management within the online retail and gaming sectors.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Management:



  • Oversee the daily operations of Afriprize, ensuring the platform functions smoothly and efficiently.

  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure alignment with strategic goals and operational standards.

  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and address any issues affecting platform performance.


Program Management:



  • Lead and manage key programs related to luxury shopping and gaming experiences.

  • Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to launch and optimize new features and promotions.

  • Ensure that all programs are executed in line with the company's strategic objectives and customer expectations.


Financial Oversight:



  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure alignment with company goals.

  • Monitor financial performance and report on key metrics to the senior management team.

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement financial controls to optimize profitability.

  • Manage relationships with vendors, partners, and service providers to ensure cost-effective solutions.


Leadership and Team Management:



  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team.

  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.

  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.


Customer Experience:



  • Ensure that customer satisfaction is a top priority by managing service quality and addressing any issues that arise.

Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven experience of a minimum 8 years in an operations management role, preferably within the online retail or gaming industry.

  • Strong understanding of financial management and budgeting processes.

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, financial software).
