Summary
- The Personal Assistant to the Head Executive Chef at Eric Kayser plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the executive kitchen and related activities.
- This position provides administrative and organizational support, allowing the Head Executive Chef to focus on culinary excellence and kitchen management.
- The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and possess strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support:
- Manage the Head Executive Chef’s calendar, including scheduling appointments, meetings, and events.
- Write emails on behalf of the Chef as at when needed.
- Count and keep record of inventory as instructed by Chef.
- Coordinate travel arrangements, including flights, accommodation, and itineraries.
- Handle correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and letters, ensuring timely and professional communication.
- Prepare and organize documents, reports, and presentations as required.
- Assist in managing budgets, expense reports, and other financial documentation.
Event Coordination:
- Assist in planning and coordinating special events, culinary demonstrations, and other functions.
- Liaise with event organizers, vendors, and clients to ensure all arrangements are in place.
- Manage guest lists, invitations, and RSVPs for events involving the Head Executive Chef.
Kitchen Operations Support:
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure the Head Executive Chef’s directives are communicated and executed efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels of specialty ingredients and equipment used by the Head Executive Chef, ordering supplies as needed.
- Assist in coordinating the development and testing of new recipes, including organizing tasting sessions.
Communication Liaison:
- Act as the primary point of contact between the Head Executive Chef and internal/external stakeholders. - Facilitate effective communication within the kitchen team and with other departments- Manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
Personal Assistance:
- Assist the Head Executive Chef with personal errands and tasks as required.
- Handle any ad-hoc tasks or special projects assigned by the Head Executive Chef.
Qualifications
- Education: A Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a personal assistant or administrative role, ideally within the hospitality or culinary industry.
- Skills: - Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Working Conditions:
- Full-time position
- Candidate must be able to work in the evenings and also during weekends.
- Fast-paced environment with potential for high-pressure situations.
