Description 



  • To assist the accountant in performing a variety of accounting duties involved in preparing, maintaining and analyzing financial transactions, statements, records and reports; gives advice and provide assistance to all other staff where/when needed.

  • Daily/periodic invoicing to relevant clients as at when due.

  • Process cheque payments transactions

  • Process direct deposits by clients and other depositors.

  • Processing of suppliers and other credit invoices.

  • Perform proper filing and record keeping of departments documents

  • Assist the accountant where required in the preparation of payroll transactions and attend to arising issues, in that regards.

  • Assist the Accountant where required with compliance regime with regards to PAYE, VAT, PENSION.

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly payroll, submitted and approved before two days to salary day.

  • Assist in the reconciling of all Company’s ledgers.

  • Communicate with creditors regarding outstanding accounts and payments of the outstanding amounts.

  • Constantly update the clients account on the accounting software

  • Other tasks as instructed by the accountant

  • Prepare reports of preceding month and submit to HOD on or before the 3rd of the following month.

  • Effective and efficient management of the Office Store and ensure proper inventory of store receivables and deliverables


Requirements



  • B.Sc / HND / ONDin  Accounting.

  • Adept computer skills and proficiency using programs like QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel

  • Advanced math skills to keep accurate records and supervise the bookkeeping of an organization

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact regularly with clients regarding sensitive topics like billing and payments

  • Excellent organization skills for maintaining clear, accurate and meticulous financial records for a company

  • Attention to detail for ensuring the accuracy of a company’s records and invoices

  • Multitasking in order to successfully handle multiple accounts, invoices and payments at various stages of execution

  • Excellent efficiency for handling any accounting issues quickly with minimal interference
