Responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day activities and workflows of the unit.


• Tracking progress against goals and reporting on unit performance.


• Identifying and resolving operational issues within the unit


• Facilitating communication and collaboration within the unit and with other departments.


• Spearheaded the development and application of comprehensive risk assessment methodologies to systematically identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential threats to the company's strategic goals, financial stability, and operational efficiency.


• Foster cross-departmental collaboration to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies (controls, ownership, action plans); monitor control effectiveness; maintain a central risk register documenting identified threats and mitigation plans.


• Translate complex risk assessments and mitigation recommendations for diverse audiences (senior management, Board, stakeholders); prepare regular risk reports; foster a culture of risk awareness through open communication and information sharing.


• Ensure the company's risk management practices adhere to industry regulations and best practices; stay current with evolving standards and adapt the ERM framework accordingly.


• Utilize data analysis, visualization tools, and risk management information systems (RMIS) to transform complex data into actionable insights for risk identification, assessment, reporting, and centralized risk data management; stay current with emerging technologies to optimize risk management processes.

Requirements

• Associates Chartered Institute of Insurance of Nigeria (ACIIN).


• Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP).


• Financial Risk Manager Certification.


• 7 years experience providing enterprise risk management services.


• Higher degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management or a related field.
