Job Summary:



  • As the Head of Publications at Athena (a sister company to Onekobo Technology), you will be responsible for overseeing all content and publication activities, ensuring the creation and distribution of high-quality materials that align with the company’s strategic objectives. You will lead a team of writers, editors, and content creators, managing the production of a wide range of publications, including reports, articles, white papers, newsletters, and other content formats. Your role will be crucial in shaping the company’s voice and maintaining its reputation as a thought leader in the industry.


Key Responsibilities:


Content Strategy and Planning:



  • Develop and execute a comprehensive publication strategy that aligns with the company’s goals and objectives.

  • Identify content opportunities and topics that resonate with the target audience and support the company’s brand positioning.

  • Plan and manage the editorial calendar to ensure timely delivery of all publications.


Editorial Oversight:



  • Oversee the creation, editing, and production of all company publications, ensuring content is accurate, compelling, and aligned with brand standards.

  • Maintain editorial quality by enforcing style guides, tone of voice, and content guidelines across all platforms.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as marketing, product, and sales teams, to ensure content meets their needs and objectives.


Team Leadership and Management:



  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of writers, editors, and content creators, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.

  • Recruit, onboard, and develop talent within the publications team, ensuring the team possesses the necessary skills to meet company objectives.

  • Provide regular feedback and performance evaluations to ensure continuous improvement and development of the team.


Publication Production:



  • Manage the production process for all publications, including print and digital formats, from concept to final delivery.

  • Coordinate with designers, printers, and other vendors to ensure high-quality production and timely distribution.

  • Oversee the budgeting process for publication projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to budget constraints.


Digital Content Management:



  • Oversee the publication and distribution of digital content, including blogs, online articles, e-books, and newsletters.

  • Ensure that digital content is optimized for search engines (SEO) and is easily accessible across all digital platforms.

  • Monitor content performance metrics and use data-driven insights to refine and improve publication strategies.


Stakeholder Collaboration:



  • Work closely with the marketing and communications teams to ensure that all publications support broader marketing campaigns and initiatives.

  • Collaborate with external contributors, industry experts, and partners to enrich the content and bring diverse perspectives to the publications.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for any external publishing or media partnerships.


Brand and Thought Leadership:



  • Ensure that all publications reinforce the company’s brand and position it as a leader in its industry.

  • Contribute to the development of thought leadership content that enhances the company’s reputation and credibility.

  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to ensure the company’s publications remain relevant and impactful.


Qualifications:


Education:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.


Experience:



  • 7+ years of experience in publishing, content management, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

  • Proven track record of managing content teams and producing high-quality publications.


Skills:



  • Strong editorial and writing skills, with an eye for detail.

  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.

  • Proficiency in digital content management systems (CMS) and publishing tools.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to think strategically and creatively to develop compelling content.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
