  • The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal regulations, and providing financial insights to support business decisions.

  • This role involves tasks such as bookkeeping, preparing financial statements, and managing tax filings.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Record Keeping:



  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, accounts payable, and receivable.

  • Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.


Financial Reporting:



  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, etc.).

  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.


Tax Management:



  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.

  • Prepare and file tax returns, and coordinate audits with external auditors.


Accounts Payable and Receivable:



  • Process invoices, verify their accuracy, and ensure timely payments.

  • Manage and follow up on accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection.


Payroll Management:



  • Process payroll and ensure that all employees are paid accurately and on time.

  • Maintain payroll records and handle payroll taxes.


Internal Controls:



  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets.

  • Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.


Financial Analysis:



  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.

  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.


Auditing and Compliance:



  • Support external auditors during audits.

  • Ensure all financial operations comply with legal and regulatory standards.


General Administrative Duties:



  • Maintain organized and secure financial files.

  • Support other departments with financial tasks as needed.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.

  • Proven experience in accounting or a related role.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
