Responsibilities

• Assist the Farm Manager in daily operations of the poultry farm, including feeding, watering, and health monitoring of the flock.


• Supervise and coordinate the activities of farm workers to ensure efficient operations.


• Monitor and maintain optimal conditions in poultry houses, including temperature, ventilation, and lighting.


• Implement biosecurity measures to prevent disease outbreaks.


• Manage inventory of feed, medications, and other farm supplies.


• Assist in the planning and implementation of production schedules.


• Keep accurate records of production, feed consumption, and health treatments.


• Assist in maintaining farm equipment and facilities to ensure they are in good working order.


• Participate in the recruitment, training, and management of farm staff.


• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.


• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in poultry farming or livestock management.


• Strong leadership and communication skills.


• Knowledge of poultry health and welfare standards.


• Familiarity with farm management software is a plus.
