Job Requirements


Minimum Requirements



  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline.

  • Professional membership and certification in relevant fields including IT, Engineering, Finance and Audit.

  • At least 5+ years auditing experience.

Job Responsibility



  • Conduct vetting, vouching, and validating all documents before payment

  • Review and vetting of all CRMD (Customer Records Maintenance Document)

  • Review, vouching, and vetting of all CAAD.

  • FETS/any other aggregator/collection agents. Ensure weekly vetting and reconciliation of all collections.

  • Ensure all collections are remitted on the second day (T+1) to the IBEDC account. (Any exception should be reported).

  • Verify all phone numbers, addresses, and geocodes of new customer accounts. They can also include the e-mail addresses of customers.

  • Ensure periodic visits to Injection substations to ascertain the following:

  • Check breakers

  • The surrounding environment (Bush, collapsed fence, bent concrete poles, etc)

  • Transformer oil leakages

  • HSE checks:

  • Service status of fire extinguishers

  • First aid bow is well kitted

  • Leaking control room roofs

  • Adequate PPE

  • Checking logbooks for regular updates & maintenance

  • Functionality of the Emergency exit door(s)

  • Stock of flammable materials in the control room like petrol, diesel, gas, etc

  • Functionality of the smoke detector (if installed).

  • Check that cable trenches are well covered to avoid the ingress of reptiles into the control room.

  • Monitoring to ensure that unutilized store items are credited back to the store with adequate posting.

  • Monitoring of all SAGE posting at the region, also to ensure SAGE is used.

  • Must review for proper classification of customers according to tariff plans.

  • Regular visits to CROs network to scan and detect uncaptured customers, wrong meter installations/illicit meters. Ensure to investigate undelivered bills.

  • Ensure to investigate all reported faulty distribution substations to determine the cause, how long the fault etc. by confirming from technical team.

  • Permit-to-work system under fault clearing. Ensure it is observed, and conduct regular training on a regional level.

  • Routine investigation.

  • Coordinate inspection of inventories supplied to ensure conformity with works order, LPO, etc

  • Ensures timeliness in providing periodic and ad-hoc reports to Head, Audit & Risk.

  • Carry out other sundry assignments as directed by Head, Audit & Risk.
