Summary
- The position holder will be responsible for managing the firm's financial health, overseeing accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- He/she will conduct financial risk assessments, provide leadership to the finance team, and partner with business units to optimise costs and align financial strategy with business goals.
Responsibilities
- Manage the firm's financial health, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee accounting operations, including month-end and year-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and local regulatory requirements.
- Conduct financial risk assessments and recommend measures for mitigation.
- Provide leadership to the finance team, driving a culture of accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with business units to optimise operational costs and ensure alignment of the financial strategy with business goals.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
Knowledge, Skills, And Experience
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience
- A recognised accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, ACA, etc.) with significant experience in financial control and management.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in financial management systems and tools.
- Leadership experience with a proven ability to develop and mentor finance teams
