REQUIREMENTS



  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working in a poultry farm or similar environment, with at least two years in a supervisory role.

  • Relevant education or certifications, such as Animal Science, Agricultural Studies, or equivalent is required. 

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

  • In-depth knowledge of poultry farming practices and animal welfare standards.

  • Ability to identify and address issues related to poultry health and biosecurity.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physically demanding tasks.

  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, and perform physical tasks associated with poultry farming.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the livestock pens, ensuring animals are fed, watered, and cared for in a timely manner.

  • Monitor the health and well-being of the animals, identifying any signs of illness or distress and taking appropriate action when necessary.

  • Lead, train, and supervise a team of pen workers, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and according to protocols.

  • Maintain accurate records of feeding schedules, health checks, treatments, and any other relevant data.

  • Ensure all operations comply with company policies, health and safety regulations, and animal welfare standards.

  • Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure pens, feeding equipment, and water systems are kept in good working condition.

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of feed, medications, and other necessary supplies.
