Role Description

• This is a full-time remote role for an Associate Legal Counsel at TLP Advisory in Lagos State, Nigeria.


• As an Associate at TLP Advisory, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality legal services to our clients.


• You will work closely with our team of experienced lawyers, advising on various legal matters on a day-to-day basis within the firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and other transactional documents.


• Conduct comprehensive due diligence on startup transactions and investment opportunities.


• Manage and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their legal needs are met with professionalism and expertise.


• Assist in negotiations related to startup transactions and venture capital investments.


• Provide strategic legal advice to clients on various aspects of startup law, including corporate governance, intellectual property, fundraising, and regulatory compliance.


• Stay updated on industry trends, legal developments, and best practices relevant to the startup ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 2 - 4 years of relevant legal experience, preferably within the startup or venture capital sectors.


• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.


• Excellent drafting, reviewing, and negotiation skills.


• High attention to detail, Strong written and verbal communication skills


• Passion for the startup ecosystem and a keen interest in innovation and entrepreneurship.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
