Job Description



  • We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Electrical & Instrument Engineer who will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and functionality of electrical and instrumentation systems within our organization.

  • Leveraging your expertise, you will oversee maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of a wide range of equipment, including motors, panels, transformers, and instrumentation devices.

  • Your responsibilities will include conducting preventive maintenance, analyzing breakdowns to identify root causes, and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency.

  • A key aspect of your role will involve interpreting electrical drawings, planning maintenance schedules, and providing technical guidance to junior staff.


Responsibilities


Key Deliverable/Result 1 Year From Now:



  • Maintain all electrical and instrumentation equipment in optimal condition to minimize downtime and achieve zero breakdowns.


Key Objectives for the First 90 Days:



  • Establish and maintain records of preventive maintenance schedules.

  • Implement strategies to achieve zero breakdowns through effective preventive maintenance.

  • Conduct root cause analysis for breakdowns and implement corrective actions.


Critical Expertise, Skills, and Competencies:



  • Attention to Detail: Ability to meticulously oversee maintenance schedules and identify potential issues.

  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing equipment failures and conducting root cause analysis.

  • Technical Knowledge: Hands-on experience with electrical & instrumentation equipment (Motors, Panels, Sync Panels, Switchyards, Transformers, VFDs, EOT cranes, Thermocouples, RTDs, Analyzers, Level Transmitters, etc.).

  • Electrical Drawings: Proficient in interpreting and updating electrical drawings.

  • Maintenance Planning: Capability to plan and execute preventive and shutdown maintenance effectively.

  • Training and Development: Ability to train and mentor junior staff on maintenance practices.

Qualifications



  • Master's, Bachelor's Degree, or HND in Electrical & Instrumentation.

  • 4 - 6 years Experience in maintenance within a technical or industrial setting.

  • Work experience is highly preferred.

  • Ideal Age Range: Late 20s to late 30s.

  • Hands-on experience with electrical & instrumentation equipment (Motors, Panels, Sync Panels, Switchyards, Transformers, VFDs, EOT cranes, Thermocouples, RTDs, Analysers, Level Transmitters, etc.).

  • Proficient in interpreting and updating electrical drawings.

  • Capable of planning and executing preventive and shutdown maintenance.

  • Able to perform breakdown analysis and root cause analysis.

  • Conduct training and development sessions for junior staff.
