Job Description



  • The Area Sales Manager (ASM) in the lubricant industry is responsible for overseeing sales operations, meeting targets, and managing the sales team within a designated geographical area.

  • The ASM ensures effective execution of sales strategies, builds and maintains strong customer relationships, and drives revenue growth.


Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy and Planning:



  • Develop and implement sales plans to achieve targets and expand the customer base.

  • Analyze market trends and competitors to identify opportunities and threats.

  • Coordinate with the Regional Sales Manager to set sales goals and objectives.


Customer Relationship Management:



  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.

  • Address customer needs and concerns to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.

  • Conduct regular visits to customers and prospects to promote products and services.


Sales Operations:



  • Monitor and manage the sales pipeline to ensure steady progression towards sales targets.

  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in sales operations.


Market Development:



  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned area.

  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking activities to promote the brand.

  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to align sales strategies with market needs.


Budget Management:



  • Manage the sales budget for the assigned area, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.

  • Track and control expenses to stay within budgetary limits.

  • Propose and implement cost-effective sales strategies.


Qualifications



  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the lubricant industry.
