As an Accounting Officer, you will be responsible for managing the financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy of our accounting operations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
Manage all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, tracking payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records and resolve discrepancies.
Receive and Post cheques payment as well as issue payment receipts
Oversee the management of petty cash, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
