Key Responsibilities




  • Monitor stock levels on the shelves and take note of what needs replacing

  • Where there are gaps or empty spaces on the shelves, make requisitions to the Inventory department for more stock

  • Arrange and restack items on the shelves to ensure the store is tidy and items are displayed in the right way.

  • Ensure items are accurately tagged with the current prices

  • Monitor the expiration dates of goods and take appropriate action in line with instructions from the Manager or supervisor.

  • Move goods with the earliest expiry dates forward and goods with much later expiry dates at the back.

  • Assist customers with their shopping and attend to any enquiries in a polite and professional manner

  • Greet and welcome all customers and store visitors in a professional manner

  • Ensure that the fridges and freezers are switched on at the right temperature

  • Assist customers at the point of checkout, to bag their purchases and/or help them carry some items.

  • Be alert at all times and be knowledgeable on the health and safety measures

  • Work with the Inventory team in counting, carrying and arranging stock.

  • Be knowledgeable about products and the store to direct customers on the location of items, price, use, and care of goods available in the store with the aim of encouraging the customers to make a purchase.

  • Any other duties as may be assigned.



Requirement




  • Candidates should possess an OND qualification with 1 - 2 years work experience.
