Job Summary




  • A Hotel Cashier is responsible for handling financial transactions at the hotel’s front desk, restaurant, or other service areas. 

  • They ensure accurate billing, process payments, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining financial records.



Key Responsibilities

Guest Transactions & Payments:




  • Process check-in and check-out payments, room charges, and other guest expenses.

  • Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and digital transactions securely and accurately.

  • Issue receipts, refunds, or adjustments as necessary.



Billing & Financial Reconciliation:




  • Prepare and verify guest invoices and folios.

  • Balance cash drawers and reconcile daily transactions.

  • Assist with night audits and financial reporting.



Customer Service & Support:




  • Address guest inquiries regarding billing, charges, and hotel services.

  • Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary.

  • Provide information about promotions, discounts, and special offers.



Compliance & Security:




  • Ensure adherence to hotel policies and financial regulations.

  • Maintain the confidentiality of guest and financial information.

  • Report discrepancies or suspicious activities to management.



Requirements




  • High school diploma or equivalent (a degree in hospitality or accounting is a plus).

  • Experience in cash handling, hotel front desk, or accounting (preferred).

  • Strong numerical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Fidelio, PMS).

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
