Job Summary




  • A reputable Law firm located in Ikoyi, Lagos is seeking to recruit a smart, organized, and committed Secretary to support daily administrative operations and ensure the smooth running of the office.

  • The ideal candidate must be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of handling confidential information with professionalism.



Key Responsibilities




  • Receive, screen, and appropriately redirect phone calls.

  • Handle and prioritize all incoming and outgoing correspondence (emails, letters, packages, etc.).

  • Type, format, and prepare letters, court processes, and other legal documents as required.

  • Prepare the weekly cause list.

  • Prepare the conference room for meetings and serve refreshments when required.

  • Handle confidential documents for the Principal Counsel, ensuring proper security and discretion.

  • Collate and maintain the firm’s client list.

  • Ensure the reception area is clean and presentable at all times.

  • Request, purchase, and manage inventory of office supplies.

  • Update and review the inventory book daily to maintain approved stock levels.

  • Distribute and monitor the use of stationery issued to staff.

  • Prepare and input requisitions for office supplies on the payment approval platform.

  • Maintain attendance registers and movement record books in good condition.

  • Compile and send daily attendance reports to Management.

  • Perform other clerical and administrative duties as assigned.

  • Ensure full compliance with the firm’s core values and policies.



Job Requirements




  • Minimum of B.Sc. or HND qualification.

  • 3–5 years of experience as a Secretary, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.

  • Experience in customer service and client communication.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

  • High level of discretion and professionalism.
