Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and maintaining financial records and reports
- Record daily financial transactions and post entries into accounting systems
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Reconcile bank statements, cashbooks, and ledger accounts
- Process invoices, payments, receipts, and expense claims
- Assist with payroll processing and statutory deductions
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Maintain proper filing of financial documents and records
- Assist during internal and external audits
- Ensure compliance with company policies and basic accounting standards
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned by the Finance Manager or Accountant.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum of OND / HND / BSc in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software
- Good numerical and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information
- Willingness to learn and take instructions
- NYSC completion or exemption (where applicable).
Additional Skills (Advantage):
- Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Sage)
- Understanding of tax regulations and statutory remittance.
