Role Summary
- The Human Resource Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the full spectrum of HR functions within the organization. This role requires a structured, disciplined, and strategic HR professional who can build systems, strengthen internal controls, drive performance management, and align people strategy with business objectives.
- The successful candidate will provide operational HR leadership while supporting management in workforce planning, employee engagement, compliance, and organizational development.
Key Responsibilities
HR Strategy & Organizational Development
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Conduct HR audits to identify gaps and recommend improvements.
- Support leadership with workforce planning and succession planning.
- Strengthen HR governance and compliance frameworks.
Recruitment & Talent Management
- Lead end-to-end recruitment and selection processes.
- Develop structured onboarding and probation management systems.
- Implement competency-based hiring frameworks.
- Monitor manpower planning and staffing optimization.
Performance Management
- Design and implement performance appraisal systems.
- Monitor KPI tracking and performance improvement processes.
- Support managers in handling underperformance and disciplinary matters.
- Drive accountability culture across departments.
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian labor laws and regulatory standards.
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and investigations.
- Develop and maintain HR policies and employee handbook.
- Promote positive workplace culture and engagement initiatives.
Compensation & Payroll Oversight
- Oversee payroll coordination and benefits administration.
- Review compensation structure for competitiveness and sustainability.
- Monitor leave management and workforce cost control.
HR Systems & Reporting
- Implement or optimize HRIS systems.
- Maintain accurate HR records and employee data.
- Provide monthly HR reports to management.
- Track HR metrics and workforce analytics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional certification (CIPM – Associate or Chartered preferred).
- Minimum of 5–7 years HR experience.
- At least 3–5 years in a supervisory or managerial HR role.
- Experience in real estate, construction, or structured corporate environments is an advantage.
